The great Class of 1962 has 102 living graduate members, and we welcome to our ranks several of our good friends and classmates who chose to leave the Academy to pursue other fields of endeavor. Of 117 graduates, 41 of us rose to the rank of Captain (O-6), 27 to the rank of Commander (O-5), and one to the rank of Vice Admiral (O-9). Many of those who left the service prior to retirement age have enjoyed great success in the world of private enterprise. Our members include a Protestant minister and a Catholic priest on hand to provide spiritual guidance as needed. Our feelings toward the Academy experience were manifested in the form of the gift of a Steinway Grand Piano in 1992 on the occasion of our 30th reunion, and our Historical Murals Project (valued at nearly a half million dollars), which will be presented formally at our 50th reunion.
